Science and Technology Workshop

This workshop focused on different tools that might be handy in a science classroom. The SmartBoard, of course, was lauded. AND, I have to apologize 7/8A - I have had a change of heart! Why can't it be a TOY, and not just a tool?!?!? That's how we learn! PLAYING!!! SO PLAY AWAY! Just don't break the SmartBoard. They are crazy expensive and I will get into trouble...

On my tech wish list:

• a SmartBoard Camera Document. They are about 800 bucks but they are SO COOL!!!

coolest camera - it comes with a cube that can make things 3D!!!! Check it out!!!!

• Smart Exchange Notebook website - with very cool teaching tools to demonstrate information in an engaging way. In other words, STOP YOU FROM BEING BORED!!! (free - just time to learn, sort, and prepare lessons...)
• Moodle APP - your next quiz could be on MOODLE! Cool way to test your knowledge; it marks itself and you get immediate feedback, which is what every student wants, right? And, frankly, I LOVE to plan and prepare lessons, but HATE marking. This does the marking if I have planned and prepared info for you! Win-Win situation! I think you can get a MOODLE APP on your iPod. Check it out and let me know if you can.
